The SNEHA Knowledge Centre seeks to collaborate with government and non-government partners to provide technical support, foster system-wide collaborations and new learning and evidence in health promotion and violence prevention.
We invite partners to collaborate with us in a fellowship model to design research-backed programs, build staff capacities, implement effectively, and generate new knowledge and evidence. Our collaborative partnerships, lasting 1-3 years, are tailored to meet the needs of community-based organisations and characterised by a hybrid, systematic, and low-touch approach.
Capacity Building: Enhance the ability of partner organisations to prevent violence against women and children and promote their health and well-being.
Impact Enhancement: Increase grassroots impact through partnerships and collaborations, generating evidence on effective strategies.
Curated courses tailored to the specific needs of partner organisations. Weekly sessions can be held online at mutually convenient times, with customizable course lengths and content. Course offerings include:
Gender and Health: Training to explore the interconnections between gender and health, and understand gender-specific health issues and programs.
Mental Health Support for Survivors of Domestic Violence: Course to understand the impact of domestic violence on mental health and learn strategies for providing effective support.
Collective Dynamics: Optimising group processes and resource access.
Training for Doctors/Police: Training on addressing gender-based violence and supporting survivors, tailored for healthcare and law enforcement professionals.
Supporting the Mental Health of Men in the Community: This course explores approaches to improving mental health support for men, addressing community specific challenges and stigma.
Supporting Mental Health of Survivors of Modern Slavery: Focuses on understanding the mental health needs of survivors of modern slavery and developing strategies for effective support.
Training on technical aspects of maternal and child health : Topics include First 1000 days approach, Breastfeeding, antenatal and postnatal care, Nutrition, Balanced diet and dietary diversity, Infant and Young Child Feeding (IYCF) practices, Immunization, Anaemia, Planned parenthood, Childhood illnesses, malnutrition, anthropometry ,referrals.
Skill based trainings : Effective home visits, documentation of case story, facilitation skills, working with Health systems and Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS), soft skills.
Volunteer engagement for improving maternal and child health : volunteer identification, recruitment, training and enhancing involvement in interventions for improving maternal and child health
Community Mobilisation: Strategies for engaging communities, including hard-to-reach groups.
Microplanning: Community-driven planning, implementation, and monitoring techniques.
Monitoring and Evaluation: Skills for effective monitoring and evaluation.
Research Methodologies: Enhancing staff capabilities in research methodologies
Flexible, timely conversations and brainstorming sessions at leadership levels, providing guidance on implementation processes, integrating violence into programs, and conceptualising violence-related initiatives. Regular online meetings to share concerns and best practices.
Comprehensive technical support in areas such as:
Research Proposal Development: Crafting robust research proposals.
Data Review and Analysis: Expert guidance in data analysis.
Research Conduct Support: Support throughout the research process.
Monitoring and Evaluation Tools: Developing customised tools for data collection.
Program Designing: Designing effective program strategies.

SPARC: Collaborating with 40 Police Panchayat members to build the first response to survivors of violence, creating community outreach on violence prevention.
Akanksha: Partnering with 4 schools and 15 parents in each school in Mumbai to build first response for survivors of violence.
Ekjut: Field implementation research project in Jharkhand, working with 42 women's groups in 22 villages.
Nav Srishti: Three year long partnership to support NavSrishti’s violence prevention program in informal settlements in New Delhi.
Setco Foundation: Capacity building and technical support through developing protocols, Monitoring and Evaluation framework, sharing and developing BCC (behaviour change communication) material and mentoring team from 2016 to 2020.
Swabhiman : Capacity building and technical support through developing protocols, Monitoring and Evaluation framework, sharing and developing BCC material, monthly review meeting and mentoring team period from Jan 2023.
